Chyna (Joanie Laurer) attended KILLER KOWALSKI'S WRESTLING SCHOOL in 1995 which is where she also met Hunter Hearst Helmsley. After being voted "Rookie Of The Year 1996" in the PGWA Chyna became part of the WWF family in 1997 making her debut as Triple-H's valet and was soon declared 'The Ninth Wonder Of The World'.
After making herself comfortable in her new surroundings Chyna began terrorizing and torturing Marlena. On several shows Chyna would use her immense size to pick Goldust's infinitesimal valet up and shake her around like a little rag doll. Of course this developed into a great ongoing battle between Goldust and Triple-H. At 5'10" and near 190lbs. Chyna discovered that she could easily make the difference between Triple-H winning or losing a match and began dealing his opponents her famous deadly 'low blow'.

Chyna and Triple-H went on to team up with the WWF World Champion Shawn Michaels in 1997-98 and form the irreverent and comical group D-Generation X. With athletes like X-Pac, Road Dogg and BA Gunn they were a force to be reckoned with each and every week. Chyna became integral to the groups multiple victories and was quite skillful in interfering during a match by taking an opponent 'out' while the ref was being distracted by other member's of DX.

Chyna has publicly stated that she has no desire to go after the WWF Women's Title belt as she doesn't feel that there is enough of a challenge facing another woman. She obviously enjoys the excitement of testing herself in the ring against a man and has done quite well for herself during her brief career by seizing several firsts in the wrestling world. In January 1999 Chyna became the first woman to compete in a Royal Rumble PPV and she continued her assault on the WWF by confronting her mentor and significant other Triple-H in the ring as well as battling Stone Cold Steve Austin more than once.

Several weeks prior to her No Mercy PPV appearance in October 1999 Chyna and Jeff Jarrett became embroiled in an unrelenting and openly hostile feud. Both competitor's would go out of their way to antagonize each other week after week. That night 'The Ninth Wonder' achieved what no other woman had ever done in the WWF when she soundly defeated Double J in a violent match that gained her the WWF Intercontinental Title. At last becoming an equal with male wrestlers who had couldn't be done Chyna even decided to get her own personal female valet - Miss Kitty.

The very next night Double J left the WWF and returned to the WCW while the newcomer to the federation, Y2J Chris Jericho, immediately began a verbal assault that has led to some very fine physical and entertaining matches between the two. In December 1999 at the Armageddon PPV Chyna lost her Intercontinental Title Belt to Chris Jericho but expect the 'Ninth Wonder' to gain more gold in the future.
